Thousands of people are imprisoned away from their home country, suffering the acute stress of incarceration plus the trauma of separation from crucial support of loved ones.
The Luna-Rose Prisoner Support Society is a registered Canadian non-profit society that believes in the inherent dignity of all people, and opposes humiliating or degrading treatment of anyone. Since 2006, I provide compassionate humanitarian support to foreign-national inmates in Thailand’s prisons.
For many months each year, I visit foreign prisoners in Bang Kwang Central Prison, Thailand. I bring food, toiletries, books and compassionate support to inmates from Burma, Canada, Australia, Russia, Laos, Kazakhstan, Nepal, China, and more. In supporting and bearing witness, I help maintain dignity and hope to those incarcerated away from home country and family.
